+ I’m new to Nafas Yoga! How do I start?

Welcome to Nafas Yoga! We are so happy to have you practise here. We welcome all levels of yogis to our studio, so you’ll feel right at home in our #teamnafas community. You can start by exploring our class offerings and schedule to see which classes suit you. Our Intro Offer offers Unlimited Classes for 7 days, and is an excellent value for newbies. This Intro Offer is valid for both livestream and in-studio classes. Do also check out other packages and offers on our Pricing page.

When attending your first class, we encourage you to arrive 15 minutes early, have a chat with our friendly Team Nafas members and instructors, and settle down before the class.

Do let your instructor know that you are new to yoga, and feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to make sure you feel welcomed, comfortable, and well-informed.

+ I have never practised yoga before. What do I do?

Firstly, congratulations on enrolling to your first ever yoga class! We are delighted that you chose to attend your first ever yoga class at Nafas Yoga. For beginners, we recommend that you attend the Flow 101 class, as the instructors spend more time breaking down poses and ensuring proper posture alignment. Once you are familiar with the foundational poses, do try out the Flow Slow class – it will definitely challenge you and build strength and stamina!

+ How do I sign up for a class? Do I reserve my spot online?

We do recommend for you to reserve your spots online, to help you plan your day. Please note that with the new SOPs post-COVID, we do not accept walk-ins to our studio. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to avoid line-ups, feeling rushed, and to ensure that you will get a spot. Arriving early will also allow you to have a chat with the teacher or our team member if you have any injuries or concerns. Strictly NO LATE ENTRY, doors are locked once class starts.

+ How do I purchase a class pass/package?

We highly recommend for you to purchase class passes and packages online - all you need to do is check out our schedule for the classes that you would be most suited for. On the specific Class page, select "Book Now". You'll then be asked to purchase a package, where you'll be able to view the different packages and subscriptions that we have

Once selected, you'll be directed to the Payment page - kindly input your credit/debit card details! You'll then receive a confirmation email if your purchase is successful :)

All packages purchased via our website or in-studio are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

Please note that if you're purchasing an Intro Offer or Unlimited Package, you'll be asked to save your credit card details, for No Show Fee charges, if and when applicable. Please refer to our Reservation & Cancellation Policy for more details.

+ Are there other options to purchase a class pass/package?

Absolutely! If you prefer to make a payment via direct bank-in transfer, please email us at hello@nafasyogakl.com and we will advise accordingly. Please note, however, that we may take 1-2 business days to respond to your email.

Another option is to drop in to the studio, say hi to us, and purchase your package with us! Payments via debit/credit card and QR code are both accepted in the studio :)

+ What is the policy for cancelling a class booking?

Your class booking can be cancelled up to 3 hours before the class starts (this applies to both in-studio and livestream classes). If you cancel a class less than 3 hours before a class, the unused credit will still be deducted from your account. If you are an Unlimited Package holder, you will be charged a Late Cancellation fee of RM 15.

When you book a class, your spot will be held until 5 minutes before class starts. If you do not arrive to claim your spot by then, your spot will be given away to another guest, and a credit will be deducted from your account. For Unlimited Members, you will be charged a No Show fee of RM 20.

Please refer to our Reservation and Cancellation Policy FAQs for more details.

+ Am I still allowed to attend class, if I arrive late?

We respect everyone’s time and personal schedules, therefore we start classes on time and would strictly NOT ALLOW latecomers; doors are locked once class starts. Most of our classes begin with silent centering and breathwork, hence we would like to avoid distraction and disruption. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of class.

+ What do I wear? Do I need to bring a mat?

We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes that you can move and stretch in – no jeans please! We strongly suggest for you to BYO mat and props, however, if you do not have a mat and/or blocks, we do have them available in the studio.

+ What do I need to bring with me to class?

Bring yourself, an open mind, and a huge smile :) Do also bring a water bottle (we have a water dispenser for you to refill), and a small towel with you, as our Flow classes can make you sweat (which of course, is a good thing!).

+ Are shower facilities provided? Do I need to bring my own bath towels and soap?

We have one shower available, however you would need to bring your own bath towel and toiletries. Feel free to use our hair dryer as well! Also, please be mindful of others and do not hog the shower! ;)

+ I am pregnant, is it advisable to practise yoga?

Firstly, please make sure you’ve gotten your doctor’s okay to practise yoga, and that you’ve passed your first trimester mark. We do offer private Prenatal Yoga here at Nafas, and our instructors are fully certified to ensure a safe practice for you and baby. Our Prenatal Yoga classes place emphasis on the combination of controlled breathing, mindful and safe stretching and mental focus that all helps to increase strength, stamina and flexibility which are much needed to sustain the pregnancy through to childbirth, as well as post-labour!

Firstly, please make sure you’ve gotten your doctor’s okay to practise yoga. Although the practice of yoga has its healing benefits, please take note that some classes offered (e.g. Flow Strong) are quite vigorous and dynamic, and may not be ideal post-injury. We recommend for you to attend Flow Slow and Flow 101 classes as they are more gentle. Yin Yoga is alright as long as your injury is not joint-related.

Before the class starts, do let your instructor know that you have an injury, and feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to make sure you feel welcomed, comfortable, and well-informed, and most importantly, to ensure you practise safely with us.

+ Is there parking available?

Yes, street parking is available in front and around our studio. It can get busy depending on the time of day, therefore you have an option to park in the open carpark space opposite the studio. We strongly suggest that you plan your trip to ensure you have sufficient time to get a parking space and unwind before class!

If you are parking on the street, please do remember to pay your parking as the council is known to be very strict. For convenience, please download the JomParking or TNG e-wallet apps on the App Store or Google Playstore – you’ll be able to pay and extend your parking right through your phone :)
