+ I have never practised yoga before. What do I do?

Firstly, congratulations on enrolling to your first ever yoga class! We are delighted that you chose to attend your first ever yoga class at Nafas Yoga. For beginners, we recommend that you attend the Flow 101 class, as the instructors spend more time breaking down poses and ensuring proper posture alignment. Once you are familiar with the foundational poses, do try out the Flow Slow class – it will definitely challenge you and build strength and stamina!

+ How do I sign up for a class? Do I reserve my spot online?

We do recommend for you to reserve your spots online, to help you plan your day. Walk-ins to the studio are also welcomed, if there are still spots available. For both online reservations and walk-ins, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to avoid line-ups, feeling rushed, and to ensure that you will get a spot. Arriving early will also allow you to have a chat with the teacher or our team member if you have any injuries or concerns.

+ How do I purchase a class pass/package?

We highly recommend for you to purchase class passes and packages online - all you need to do is ensure you've already signed up for an account with us online. On the Pricing page, simply select the package you wish to purchase by clicking "Buy Now". You'll then be directed to the Buy Package page, where you're able to confirm your selection.

Once confirmed, you'll be directed to the Payment page - kindly click the Paypal Checkout button and proceed with the steps advised by PayPal. You don't have to have a registered PayPal account in order to make a payment; all you need to do is input your credit/debit card details! :)

+ Are there other options to purchase a class pass/package?

Absolutely! If you prefer to make a payment via direct bank-in transfer, please email us at hello@nafasyogakl.com and we will advise accordingly. Please note, however, that we may take 1-2 business days to respond to your email.

Another option is to drop in to the studio, say hi to us, and purchase your package with us! Cash and card payments are both accepted in the studio :)

+ What is the policy for cancelling an online reservation?

When you reserve online, your spot will be held until 5 minutes before class starts. If you do not arrive to claim your reservation by then, your spot will be given away to another guest, and a credit will be deducted from your account.

For your online reservation to go smoothly, please ensure that you have an active package with Nafas Yoga, and that you have signed up an account with us through our website. An online reservation can be cancelled up to 7 hours before the class starts. If you cancel a class less than 7 hours before a class, the unused credit will still be deducted from your account. Please refer to our Reservation and Cancellation Policy FAQs for more details.

+ Am I still allowed to attend class, if I arrive late?

We respect everyone’s time and personal schedules, therefore we start classes on time and would not allow latecomers. Most of our classes begin with silent centering and breathwork, hence we would like to avoid distraction and disruption. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of class.

+ What do I wear? Do I need to bring a mat?

We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes that you can move and stretch in – no jeans please! Mats are provided, but you are certainly welcomed to bring your own mat.

+ What do I need to bring with me to class?

Bring yourself, an open mind, and a huge smile :) A water dispenser is available at the studio; we encourage you to bring your own bottles to refill water as cups are not provided and we would like to keep our eco footprint to a minimal. Lockers are provided for convenience. Do also bring a small towel with you, as our Flow classes can make you sweat (which of course, is a good thing!).

+ Are shower facilities provided? Do I need to bring my own bath towels and soap?

We do provide a shower facility, with basic amenities (shampoo, body wash, hair dryer, dry shampoo). Bath towels are complimentary for those who have signed up for the Unlimited Package with us. Otherwise, bath towels are available for rent at RM 2 each; just ask our friendly Team Nafas member at the Front Desk!

As there is only one shower, we do appreciate it if you could kindly consider keeping shower times to a minimal so that everyone gets chance to get scrubbed up. While waiting, feel free to take a breather at our waiting area and replenish yourselves with our complimentary herbal tea!

+ I am pregnant, is it advisable to practise yoga?

Firstly, please make sure you’ve gotten your doctor’s okay to practise yoga, and that you’ve passed your first trimester mark. We do offer Prenatal Yoga here at Nafas, and our instructors are fully certified to ensure a safe practice for you and baby. Our Prenatal Yoga classes place emphasis on the combination of controlled breathing, mindful and safe stretching and mental focus that all helps to increase strength, stamina and flexibility which are much needed to sustain the pregnancy through to childbirth, as well as post-labour!

Firstly, please make sure you’ve gotten your doctor’s okay to practise yoga. Although the practice of yoga has its healing benefits, please take note that some classes offered (Flow Strong, Take-a-Nafas Flow) are quite vigorous and dynamic, and may not be ideal post-injury. We recommend for you to attend Flow Slow and Flow 101 classes as they are more gentle. Yin Yoga is alright as long as your injury is not joint-related.

Before the class starts, do let your instructor know that you have an injury, and feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to make sure you feel welcomed, comfortable, and well-informed, and most importantly, to ensure you practise safely with us.

+ Is there parking available?

Yes, street parking is available in front and around our studio. It can get busy depending on the time of day, therefore you have an option to park in the open carpark space opposite the studio. We strongly suggest that you plan your trip to ensure you have sufficient time to get a parking space and unwind before class!

If you are parking on the street, please do remember to pay your parking as the council is known to be very strict. For convenience, please download the JomParking app on the App Store or Google Playstore – you’ll be able to pay and extend your parking right through your phone :)

If you have an Unlimited Package with us, your 1st hour of parking is free, on us! :)

Our Kid's Yoga class is aimed for 4-9 year olds.

We do not encourage parents to stay in class with the child, as it could be distracting for the other children. Please be rest assured that your child is in good hands with our qualified kid's yoga instructor!

Please refer to our Reservation & Cancellation Policy.

+ Will you be taking photos of my child?

We will be taking photos from time to time for promotional purposes :)
